1. Purpose & Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) defines the acceptable standards of conduct for accessing or using Neural Forge’s website, custom software, cloud infrastructure, AI platforms (including Tesseract), APIs, and communication channels (including WhatsApp bots, web chat, and social media pages). It applies to site visitors, prospective leads, and clients alike, and forms part of our Terms of Service. By accessing or using any Neural Forge system or service, you agree to comply with this AUP. If there is a direct conflict between this AUP and a signed Statement of Work (SOW) or Service Agreement, the terms of that agreement will govern for the specific engagement it covers.
2. Acceptable Use
You may use our website, platforms, and communication channels only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with their intended function — browsing our services, submitting genuine inquiries, engaging our engineering consultancies, and interacting with our client platforms as authorized under an active engagement.
3. Prohibited Uses & System Security
Users shall not engage in any activity that compromises the security, stability, or integrity of Neural Forge systems or third-party infrastructure. Prohibited activities include:
- Unauthorized Access: Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any system, database, user account, or network connected to Neural Forge.
- Malicious Software: Distributing viruses, worms, Trojan horses, ransomware, spyware, or any other destructive software or code.
- System Interference: Executing Denial of Service (DoS/DDoS) attacks, network flooding, or artificial load tests against Neural Forge endpoints without prior written permission.
- Reverse Engineering: Decompiling, reverse-engineering, disassembling, or attempting to derive the source code or underlying architecture of Neural Forge’s proprietary platforms, including Tesseract.
- Vulnerability Probing: Scanning, probing, or testing the vulnerability of Neural Forge systems without explicit authorization under a formal security engagement.
Depending on the conduct involved, these activities may also constitute an offence under the Cybercrimes Act 19 of 2020 or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002.
4. AI Systems & Platform-Specific Rules
A. Tesseract (AI Code Governance & Drift Monitoring)
- Prompt Manipulation: You shall not execute prompt injection, jailbreaking attacks, or adversarial inputs intended to bypass safety boundaries or leak tenant data.
- Guardrail Bypass: You shall not intentionally attempt to bypass, disable, or tamper with Tesseract’s automated safety checks, continuous drift monitors, or merge gates to force unvetted or malicious code changes into production codebases.
- Audit Tampering: You shall not attempt to alter, delete, or obscure audit logs, risk metrics, or decision trails generated by Tesseract.
- Credential Sharing: You must not share Tesseract access credentials with any person not authorized under your engagement with us.
5. Content & Data Standards
You are strictly prohibited from using Neural Forge infrastructure, platforms, or communication tools to process, store, or transmit content that:
- Violates Privacy Laws: Ingests or transmits personal information in breach of the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA), international data privacy laws, or without a lawful basis for processing.
- Is Illegal or Harmful: Promotes unlawful acts, fraud, financial scams, human exploitation, or illegal drug trade.
- Is Unlawful or Defamatory: Constitutes hate speech, harassment, defamation, explicit violence, or child exploitation material.
- Is Deliberately Misleading: Is knowingly false or deceptive in a way intended to cause harm.
- Infringes Intellectual Property: Ingests or distributes copyrighted software, proprietary code, trademarks, or trade secrets without authorization.
6. Messaging & Interactive Channels
When interacting with Neural Forge’s automated bots, support agents, or messaging interfaces (e.g., WhatsApp, web chat, LinkedIn, Facebook, or Instagram):
- Spam & Flooding: Automated spamming, mass message generation, or sending repetitive automated requests to exhaust API quotas or disrupt response bots is prohibited.
- Impersonation: You must not pretend to be another individual, business entity, or Neural Forge representative.
- Abusive Communication: Harassment, threats, or abusive language directed at automated systems or support engineers will result in immediate termination of access.
7. Monitoring, Enforcement & Suspension
Neural Forge reserves the right, but is not obligated, to:
- Monitor Systems: Monitor API usage, system logs, traffic volumes, and platform activities to ensure system integrity, security, and compliance with this policy.
- Suspend Access: Temporarily or permanently suspend account access, API keys, or project environments without notice in the event of a severe security threat, suspected breach, or material violation of this AUP. Less severe violations may instead result in a warning and a request to cease the conduct in question, or termination of an active engagement in accordance with the termination provisions of our Terms of Service.
- Escalate Legally: Report unlawful activities to relevant law enforcement agencies or regulatory bodies (e.g., the Information Regulator or the South African Police Service) and cooperate fully with legal investigations.
8. Reporting Violations & Contact Us
If you become aware of a violation of this AUP, or of a security vulnerability affecting our website or platforms, please report it immediately:
- Email: forge@neuralforge.co.za
- Website: https://www.neuralforge.co.za
9. Relationship to Other Policies
This AUP should be read together with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Cookie Policy. Where this AUP is silent on a matter addressed in one of those documents, the relevant document governs.
10. Amendments to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this AUP at any time to reflect changing operational, technical, or legal requirements. The updated version will always be accessible via our website with a revised “Last Updated” date.
